IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Swiss energy technology provider ranks 27th globally in its first appearance in the prestigious Chartis Energy50 ranking

Zurich, Switzerland, November 3, 2026 - Fidectus, the Swiss-based provider of automated post-trade processing for OTC energy and commodity markets, has been named Category Winner for Regulatory Compliance/Reporting in the Chartis Research Energy50 2026. In its debut year in the ranking, Fidectus also secured 27th place among the world's leading energy technology vendors.

The Chartis Energy50 recognises leading global energy technology providers for their contributions to risk and trading analytics, regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. Vendors are assessed on market influence, technological innovation and strategic direction.

Fidectus' Global Energy Network (GEN) connects energy market participants through a single cloud-based platform for post-trade processing, covering the entire lifecycle from trade confirmation to settlement, financing and payments. With native integrations into leading ETRM, accounting and settlement systems, GEN automates cross-company workflows, helping traders reduce operational costs and risks, meet regulatory obligations and improve working capital efficiency.

Supporting energy traders through regulatory change

The recognition comes at a pivotal time for the energy trading industry, as market participants face increasingly demanding regulatory reporting requirements.

In Switzerland, the Federal Act on the Supervision and Transparency of Wholesale Energy Markets (BATE) and its implementing ordinance (VATE) are scheduled to take effect on 1 January 2027, with registration and reporting obligations being introduced in phases. Meanwhile, in the EU, REMIT II and its revised implementing rules, published in April 2026, are expanding reporting requirements for market participants.

GEN helps clients prepare for both regulatory frameworks through a single platform, integrating regulatory reporting directly into the trade confirmation and settlement process.

One connected workflow, from confirmation to reporting and settlement

Many reporting errors originate well before a report is submitted. They often begin with an unconfirmed trade, discrepancies between counterparties' records or information manually re-entered across multiple systems.

Fidectus designed GEN to address these issues by connecting the entire post-trade process through a single, agreed trade record:

Confirmation Hub: Enables trade confirmation between counterparties across physical commodities and financial products, supporting the eCM standard of Energy Traders Europe (formerly EFET).

Regulatory Reporting Hub: Uses the same matched trade data for regulatory reporting under REMIT and EMIR. Fidectus is an ACER-registered Registered Reporting Mechanism (RRM) and an ElCom-approved reporting mechanism.

Settlement Hub: Extends the same verified trade record into settlement and netting processes. By ensuring that each stage works from the same trade record agreed by both counterparties, GEN helps improve reporting accuracy at source and reduces reliance on downstream reconciliation.

Dr. Jens Bartenschlager, CEO and Founder of Fidectus, said:

"Winning the Regulatory Compliance/Reporting category is a strong endorsement of our approach. Regulatory reporting is an area where even a small data error can create significant problems for a trading firm. That's why we built GEN to report from a confirmed trade rather than a spreadsheet. We will continue investing in the platform to help our clients manage evolving regulations and growing trade volumes with confidence."

Martin Teci, Chief Operations and Product Officer of Fidectus, added:

"Regulatory requirements in energy trading continue to evolve, and our clients need to stay compliant without increasing their manual workload. As BATE and REMIT II deadlines approach, our focus is on giving clients the tools and connected workflows they need to meet these obligations efficiently. This recognition from Chartis reflects our product team's commitment to making regulatory compliance simpler and more reliable for energy traders."

This recognition reflects the trust of the customers and partners who rely on GEN for their post-trade operations every day, as well as the commitment of the Fidectus team to continuously develop and support the platform. Fidectus would also like to thank Chartis Research for its independent assessment.
