After a few years away, I’m excited to return to Energy Trading Week in London, this time in a new role as Chief Operations and Product Officer at Fidectus. It’s a moment of reconnection: with the vibrant back-office and trading community, with familiar faces and new ones, and with the pulse of an industry that continues to evolve at pace.
Energy Trading Week has always been more than just a conference. It’s where conversations spark ideas, where operational pain points meet innovative solutions, and where the future of energy trading is shaped — not in isolation, but through collaboration. In an environment marked by increasing complexity, regulatory pressure, and growing demands for automation and transparency, forums like ETW play a critical role in bringing the industry together to move forward.
Having joined Fidectus this month, my primary goal at ETW is simple: to listen and learn. I’m keen to hear first-hand about the real-world challenges our customers and partners face across the post-trade lifecycle — from confirmation and settlement, to regulatory reporting, financing, and payment orchestration. Understanding where friction still exists, where processes break down, and where automation truly delivers value is essential as we continue to evolve our platform.
At Fidectus, our mission is to become the digital backbone of automated OTC energy trading. We are building a secure, interoperable network that connects market participants and enables them to streamline operations, reduce operational and credit risk, and operate with greater confidence and efficiency. But strategy only works when it is grounded in reality — and that’s why engaging directly with the community matters so much.
So if you’re attending ETW, let’s connect. Whether you’re a long-time partner, an existing customer, or someone I haven’t yet met, I’d love to hear your perspective. Let’s talk about what’s working well, what still needs fixing, and how we can shape the next phase of post-trade together.
You can book a meeting with me or our team via our event landing page, or simply stop by booth #19 during Energy Trading Week, 25–26 September, at the London Business Design Centre.
I’m very much looking forward to the conversations ahead.
