In our recent webinar titled "Disrupting Confirmation Matching: Unleashing Technology in 2023," we had the pleasure of hosting a panel discussion between guest speakers from Mercuria, Primeo Energie, and SEEBURGER. The webinar shed light on the challenges in confirmation matching and how Fidectus' innovative solutions are revolutionizing the energy trading industry.
Rebecca Jones, EMEA Head of Operations at Mercuria, shared real-world experience and insights on utilizing Fidectus' Confirmation Hub. Rebecca started the discussion by sharing the shortcomings existing in the legacy confirmation process. By adopting the Fidectus' solution, Mercuria can now achieve a competitive advantage. Rather than simply speaking in obscure terms about what could there was a live demo of the Fidectus' GEN platform highlighting the streamlining of the confirmation matching process. The audience had the opportunity to see firsthand the enhanced efficiency, full market reach and reduction of manual efforts.
Vinzent Schild from Primeo Energie delved into managing non-electronic counterparties and the difficulties associated with their inclusion in the confirmation matching process. Primeo leverages Fidectus' Confirmation Hub to establish a single workflow that efficiently handles non-electronic confirmations, making all counterparties appear electronic from Primeo's perspective. A second demo showcased the Fidectus' GEN platform demonstrating how the system seamlessly manages non-electronic counterparties, making Primeo's workflow seamless and more efficient.
Petra Zepke from SEEBURGER highlighted the importance of interoperability and its benefits to the industry. eCM interoperability is often misrepresented as technically challenging and complicated, yet Petra discussed the already existing, and straight forward industry standard eCM interoperability between two electronic confirmation matching service providers. Collaboration between SEEBURGER and Fidectus highlights how these two service providers use existing EFET standards to provide seamless data exchange and enhance confirmation matching processes. The final live demo showcased a firsthand view of eCM interoperability between the Fidectus and SEEBURGER eCM platforms, emphasizing the smooth data exchange and enhancing the confirmation matching experience.
The audience left this webinar with a clear view of how Fidectus is revolutionizing the energy trading industry. The story of discovering the untapped potential of the next generation of confirmation matching - brought from actual Fidectus users - resonated with all that attended.
For some, the concept of Fidectus' Confirmation Hub and how it augments deployed confirmation was an eye-opener, while others were happy to see interoperability. A few mentioned that they loved their colleagues' messages but were impressed by the live demos as they highlighted that the technology is here today.
By digitizing and automating OTC cross-company post-trade processing, Fidectus enables energy traders to optimize their confirmation matching processes, reduce manual efforts, and enhance operational profitability.
